The Reviews

This unit received quite mixed reviews from those using it but the majority of users were quite pleased with their purchase. One delighted customer said it was the best purchase she had made since her son had been born and a must for anyone preparing food for their baby.

Other users praised the design of the legs of the unit which allow the mill to be placed securely over a bowl, plate or pot in order to catch the food that is being prepared. Reviewers note that the device works best if you rotate the blades back and forth, rather than only in one direction.

One user pointed out that, especially on the superfine setting, not all the food will go through the mill. Carrots leave behind their fibrous material while peas leave behind their tough skins. However, as these are both items that could cause a baby to choke, this should not be seen as a fault. Even these dissatisfied customers praised the fact that the mill is extremely easy to use and clean.

Some unhappy buyers felt that the distance between the blade and the inserts is slightly larger than it should be and that this leads to more food being wasted than they would have liked.  Some reviewers have found that the mill is far more suitable for some foods than others. One user who tried to puree green beans and peas found that the machine simply crushed the beans and pushed green water into the bowl. She returned to using her food processor.

Another customer found the machine to be too slow to be of much use. In her experience it took more than 30 minutes to make just three cups of baby food leaving her tired and unable to spend sufficient time with her young child.
