The Reviews
This unit received only a handful of reviews and of those, only one customer gave the item the full five stars. Having received the item as a gift, this delighted customer reported using it to make all of her baby food and recommends it highly.
Other buyers were significantly less impressed. A few customers have complained that, while the unit works well, it makes only small portions and would take up to an hour to make a single meal. In particular, applesauce could only be made using one apple at a time which many users found to be incredibly frustrating.
The happier customers do not see the small capacity as a problem as they feel baby food should always be fresh and should not be stored for too long. Machines of this kind can either be used to prepare one fresh meal at a time but many attempt to use them to prepare a huge batch for a week, and these machines are simply not suitable. If that is your goal you would probably be better off with a regular food processor. One customer was so unhappy with the device that she stated she would not even recommend it to an enemy.
Another complaint was that food and water can get trapped inside the machine and is difficult to clean. One disappointed customer finally resorted to using a small screwdriver and brush to scrape out the food. A number of customers who were unable to clean the steam compartment completely found that mould began to form which they found extremely disturbing as they had purchased the machine because of the health benefits of preparing fresh food for their babies.
While noting that the machine is compact and easy to use and also available to a very good price, another customer found that the final puree was too coarse for her baby to eat but suggested the unit might be suitable for an older child who would be happy with larger pieces of food. Finally there were complains about the lid locker sensor being too sensitive and causing the machine to stop unexpectedly.

Kaloric is not a well known name in the baby food appliance industry and the low number of reviews and poor rating for this machine make it difficult to recommend. If you are keen to make fresh food for your baby, you may be better choosing a better rated device from a better known manufacturer.
